[Wherever Suoh is, it sounds a bit noisy in the background, like he might be in a shop. But it's just audio for now so its difficult to tell.]

Quatre, what would you think about getting a pet at the apartment?

Well...

[a few seconds go by before the video feed clicks on, only not showing Suoh. Instead it's pointed down at something, though a pink nose is blocking the view. Eventually the little gray, blue eyed kitten does back up, mewling noisily.]

Neon Mall. I was walking by and she started following me from her pen. Not sure why I stopped, other than the fact that she's so cute.

I've never had a pet before...so I'm not sure I'd know how to take care of her.

The owner of the pet store said she'd be glad to give us pointers if we were really interested in adopting. And I'm sure we could ask other pet owners.

That's only if you really want to, though.

[the kitten seems interesting in what Suoh is doing, and has gotten back up on her hind legs to latch on to his hand, trying to sniff at the D-Comm again]

She really likes me for some reason.

Its because you're a good person Suoh. A friend told me once that animals can sense good people.

[totally blushing where Quatre can't see it]

Y-yes, well... [awkward cough] She does seem to want to come home with me... would you like to come down and meet her first?

[Gets up and grabs his keys, locking the door and going to the light post across the street, then to the mall to meet Suoh.]

Hi.

[Hugs and bends down a bit to look at the kitten.]

It got a little cooler, you probably like that, don't you girl?

She spent the last two minutes attempting to chew on her own tail, with mixed results. I'm convinced she's putting on the charms just for us so we'll take her home.

[the kitten lets out a noisy mewl and rolls over on her back, paws in the air.]

She is really adorable. I'd hate to leave her here all by herself.

I think she would actually cry if we left her here after all this.

[prods her exposed belly, which in turn makes her latch on to his finger and start chewing]

Oof... I think I've been claimed.

[Glaring at the ball of fluff...]

[Looks down at Saghid.]

[Turns away with a quiet huff.]

A pet is not the same as a digimon, Saghid. I really hope you're not getting jealous already.

[Suoh picks the kitten up and holds her so she'll stop mauling his finger with her tiny teeth]

That's right, a pet is useless.

[Kneels down in front of Saghid.]

She just wants a home, no one is being replaced. You're still very dear to me Roan, and always will be.

[He hugs him for a moment.]

Just try and think of her...as a younger sister. Will you do that for me? Will you look out for her?

[Frowns, but finally nods.]

Alright...so long as looking after her, does not interfere with my looking after you, tamer.

[Smiles and scratches the top of his head.]

[Suoh smiles and heads to the counter with her, speaking to the clerk while paying for the new kitten. She crawls around the counter, sniffing curiously here and there until they put her in a carrying case, allowed Suoh to return with her and the other things they're going to need already in put in to his D-Reader.]

We'll have to think of a name for her. I wonder what the others will think of her. She might even keep Duo company when we're away.

I'm not really that good with names...but her eyes are so blue. They remind me of the first time I saw the sky on Earth. ...as silly as that sounds.

That doesn't sound silly.

[holds up the carrier to look at her. She doesn't look happy about being in the small space, but once he pokes his finger past the bar she starts licking at it calmly.]

Her eyes really are beautiful.

Trowa really liked cats. He's the one who gave me that nickname...and when I first got here I wondered if that was why I was paired with you Saghid. Because of Trowa's influence.

[Not sure what to say to that.]

[Peers into the carrier and smiles.]

But I think maybe I really like them too.

...sorry, that was weird of me to say without prompting. I've just been thinking of home a lot since Duo and Allen...

Anyway...azrak ain...what's your name little one?

She isn't going to answer you.

She really is. I just hope Nokoru and Duo and Allen don't mind her.

Nokoru loves cats, actually. I'm not sure about Allen. Duo... only really ever had an issue with that odd pet of Haku's, but I doubt that translates to ALL felines.

I think we can manage that. We should see if we can Duo awake long enough to join us. I know he misses being able to spend time with Allen more than he lets on...

I almost wish they hadn't released him so quickly. Just because Estelle healed his injuries didn't mean he was ready to go home.

Yes, but at home...he doesn't have to worry about Mitchell. And I know its selfish, but I like being able to keep an eye on him.

He watched out for me as much as he could when I wasn't up to par...

I don't blame you after that blow up that happened... I'm still shocked Haku was angered enough to actually slap some one.

I'm sure he'll recover in time... he has our support, no matter what happens.

Mitch was protecting his brother, the best he could. While I don't agree with the methods he used, I can't fault him for wanting to be sure his brother isn't in further danger.

I wish I could sympathize, but... the closest I've come to having siblings was Nokoru and Akira...

I suppose if they were in that situation I'd be acting just as poorly, though.
